Powerful, Stable, Scalable

Brandscreen is a technology company. Our agency customers work with Brandscreen because our technology gives them a distinct competitive advantage. Brandscreen is ultimately measured by its ability to generate better ROI for its agency clients. Here’s how we do it:

image

High-Powered SaaS:

Brandscreen operates in the cloud, running on Amazon EC2, using the computing power of thousands of servers. The platform is eminently scalable and is rolling- now out across English-language markets. Brandscreen is a Microsoft BizSpark Partner.

image

Proprietary Optimization Systems:

Brandscreen has invested 3 years developing proprietary algorithms and systems for data mining, machine learning, artificial intelligence, statistical analysis and other related optimization and decision-support functions.

image

OpenMediaBase:

OMB is a single, synchronized index of media owners, media brands, media channels and ad slots. It maps all ad-supported pages across the top 1000 internet properties, and helps agencies to resolve the messy mismatch between ad servers, publisher sales systems and ratings agencies.

image

Open, Service Oriented Architecture:

The application architecture is built in a modular form using SOAP/REST APIs to communicate between each internal module. This provides a high degree of extensibility, and allows relatively easy plug-and-play capabilities with other API enabled systems.

image

Deep integration with agencies:

Brandscreen has integrated with the APIs for multiple enterprise grade ad servers, exchanges and data providers.

IAB Electronic Insertion Order:

Brandscreen is compliant with the IAB’s electronic IO.

I'm a passionate advertising technology entrepreneur. I've got to know this business over 15 years and from every angle. After an education in big agencies in Sydney and London (BBDO, McCann's, O&M), I started my own agency (TCC) in 1993, in Amsterdam. I grew the business for six years before a successful trade sale to Publicis Groupe (Europe) in 2000. We merged operations with Publicis subsidiary Mundocom International and I took over the overall operation as CEO for the next three years. I returned to my home town of Sydney in 2005, and set about trying to understand why the brilliance of search marketing, with its systematic, ruthless pursuit of better ROI, had not been applied to other forms of media. Why was the online display advertising market operating so inefficiently? Why were many media buyers still using excel spreadsheets to plan and buy display schedules? How could we help agencies to optimize buys across multiple ad exchanges in real time? Brandscreen was the answer.

I'm a technology and digital media entrepreneur with over 17 years of technology strategy, product development and operations experience with well-known, high-growth companies in Australia, New Zealand and the United States. I was born in the United States and am a New Zealand citizen (and, of course, an All Blacks fan). After meeting my Malaysian-born wife in New Zealand, we moved to Australia, where I held roles including Chief Technology Officer of Independent Digital Media (the digital arm of IPMG), Chief Technology Officer of Fairfax Digital, and Director of Technology at mycareer.com.au. Brandscreen is my second startup. My previous startup was Allscripts, a HealthCare software provider now listed on the NASDAQ (MDRX), where I built a touch screen medical dispensing application. I’m passionate about building businesses and software and have a keen interest in digital media, advertising and trading systems.
