Brandscreen is a Demand Side Platform for media agencies.

Brandscreen is a state-of-the-art buy-side trading platform, with significant performance and usability advantages over competitive systems. For example, Brandscreen is the only platform to provide instant ‘Forward Guaranteed’ buys. Brandscreen has built ‘connectors’ with the major enterprise ad servers and inventory management systems to interrogate price and availability in real-time, allowing an Instant Booking capability. The technology architecture of Brandscreen is purpose-built to support expansion through deep integration with our agency partners and third-party data sources.

Our approach to platform development:

  • Agencies don’t want to manage multiple platforms, each with a narrow offering

  • Agencies want a platform which includes the vast bulk of online display inventory

  • Agencies don’t want to create new and more complex workflows

  • Agencies want to integrate new digital media buy-types into existing workflows

  • Agencies don’t want to deal with a raft of new metrics and higher complexity

  • Agencies want familiar data sets and metrics such as Nielsen and comScore, and have these well-integrated into the new planning and buying processes.

Buy-types

  • Forward Guaranteed Buy:

The seller offers a price in the form of a static or dynamic rate card. The buyer either accepts or rejects the offer. The booking placement is guaranteed.

  • Spot Buy (Low Frequency):

The buyer offers a price and a set of criteria or ‘conditions’. If the conditions are met and the buyer wins the auction (once the price floor is exceeded) the transaction is completed (e.g. RightMedia).

  • Spot Buy (High Frequency):

As above, but the feedback loop is very short, so the bid-response-revision cycle can be completed much faster, allowing ‘real time bidding’ (e.g. AdX2, adECN, FIM, AppNexus).

  • Hedging:

Allows agencies to access third-party ‘risk carriers’ who will sell derivatives based on guaranteed future access to a specific audience (e.g. Men, 18-36 during the Super Bowl.).

Forward Guaranteed

  • Plan media

    Plan media

Brandscreen shops for AUDIENCES, not just for 'inventory'. You define the usual range of campaign variables such as geography, schedule, timing and budget, and Brandscreen scans literally billions of impressions. In under a minute, Brandscreen presents you with a Campaign Recommendation, showing the most efficient media buy.

  • Optimize media

    Optimize media

The Campaign Recommendation is ready to approve, but you may want to further optimize the plan. Add or delete specific sites. Lengthen or shorten the campaign. Try adding or deleting creative material sizes or types. behind the scenes, Brandscreen is powered by Nielsen Online and comScore ratings data that mean the search results are compliant with the best available industry standards.

  • Buy media

    Buy media

When you're ready to buy, you can do it all on a single screen. Brandscreen is compliant with the IABs new electronic Insertion Order process which will replace the slow, inaccurate 'RFP/IO' process. An 'Electronic IO' captures all the required targeting information automatically, and traffics this into the ad server. All the publisher has to do is approve the IO on screen.

  • Add creative

    Add creative

Now that the booking is made, you have a few ways to supply creative material. You can upload the adtags or just upload the material itself. Brandscreen has its own Creative Library if you want to park materials there. Or you can use your own creative library and upload the materials yourself.

  • Activate!

    Activate

Once you've booked media and uploaded creative, the system will run through a series of checks and let you know that it's ready to activate. Once the campaign is running, you'll be able to track status and performance in the Brandscreen Dashboard.
